Animate Therapy™ overview
& Personal Dynamic Growth Program™
victim - child or adolescent currently being abused or still in the environment of abuse.
AVACs™ - Adult (adolescent) Violated As Child sexually. The life-learning stage between victim & Survivor.
Survivor - one who thru a healing process has achieved health & is living not just existing.
THRIVER - one who has surpassed Surviving; Living life to it's fullest in joy & with celebration.
TRADITIONAL THERAPY -
developed to help people who are temporarily off track
(loss of job, divorce, death in family) get back on track.
THE PROBLEM: Tracks were never laid.
Age doesn’t provide them, parenting does.
Enter a hospital emergency room bleeding profusely from the arm.
Do medical professionals deal with the past 1st? “What chain of events led to this accident?”
Do they jump first to the future?
“After you take your antibiotics, see your doctor for follow-up.” Of course they don’t.
The first thing that they will deal with is the problem at hand
STOP THE FLOW OF BLOOD.
Only after immediate danger is under control are other issues important.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE -
It’s not how long a person
works on their issues.
Some people have worked years,
passed the age of 60 or more
& are as unhealthy
as they were at 18.
Calculate cost of multiple 5 day psychiatric unit inpatient admits @$663 per day ($3315 each stay)
or multiple & repeated outpatient sessions
vs. 1 year in a treatment group providing lasting results from an investment
@ less than $2000/person.
COST vs. SAVINGS
THE LIVING WELL™ -
Replace unhealthy coping mechanisms learned as children that cause substance & food abuses, dependency on medications,
hospitalizations & suicide ideation.
Learning healthy behaviors denied during childhood.
Develop & practice the skills never learned.
GROUP vs. INDIVIDUAL - A Learner benefits more from a mirroring effect of other learners in group than from one-on-one sessions with a professional. In groups Learners perceive the common attitudes of other AVACs™ & recognize themselves in others. Over time Learners begin to perceive something dramatically impressive – positive growth & movement by peers toward effective solutions. Group format offers safer environment for the AVACs™. There are many people to depend on, model from, mirror back & ultimately be coached by rather than putting all hope & faith in one person (a therapist). “Safety in numbers,” when handled properly, plants the seeds of trust and change.
