GENDER BIAS

in the CLASSROOM:

This 24-hour course explores the history & present day circumstances of gender bias as it manifests itself in the classroom & ultimately in society at large through: research, reading, tapes, lecture, experiential exercises & discussion.

The course benefits:

classroom teachers,school nurses, guidance counselors & administrators.

Participants will:

• look at the effects of language, politics, biology & environment on

    the system, teachers & students

• Learn methods for identifying bias behaviors in themselves & others

• Develop skills  for implementing bias free environments to benefit both male & female students

From before birth our society programs us to practice gender bias behavior.

We can reprogram ouselves & create a healthier & stronger society.
